1 onion, sliced
1 c. water
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
3 to 4 potatoes
3 to 4 carrots

Brown meat on all sides in small amount of oil.

Cover and cook slowly for about 2 1/2 hours.
