Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Grease and line base and sides of an 8x4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving extra at the long sides. For the batter, sift flour into a large bowl and stir in oats and sugar. Whisk buttermilk, 1 tbsp water, egg, vanilla, oil and reserved peach juice in a large bowl then stir into flour mixture.

Roughly chop half the peaches. Add peaches and cranberries to batter then stir until just combined. Spoon into prepared pan, smooth the surface and arrange remaining peach slices on top. Bake for 45-50 mins or until a skewer inserted in center comes out clean. Place pan on a wire rack and brush warm loaf with fruit spread. Cool in pan for 10 mins then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
