Have the fish store cut up the lobster, taking off the claws and cutting each body into 3 pieces.

In a large skillet cook the lobsters in the oil for 3 to 4 minutes turning them once or twice with tongs. When they are red take them off and set them aside.

Pour off most of the fat and add the garlic. After 1 minute add the onion slat and pepper. Raise the heat and add the tomatoes, tomato paste and wine Cover over very high heat stirring for about 15 minutes. Season with pepper parsley and oregano and return the lobster to the pan. Cook over moderate heat about 5 minutes longer and adjust the seasonings. The sauce should be thick enough to be picked up with a fork. Serve over pasta or with a lot o crusty bread.
