Hazelnut Lady’S Kisses Cookies

   Preheat the oven to 160C.

   Place the hazelnuts in a bowl with the sugar, flour, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and the butter.

   Knead the dough by hand shaping it into a ball.

   Refrigerate the dough, covered in plastic wrap, for approximately 30 minutes.

   Shape the dough into many cherry-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.

   Bake the cookies for 20 minutes.

   Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cool the cookies on a wire rack.

   Spread a small amount of chocolate hazelnut cream on the bottom of one cookie, place the bottom of another cookie on the cream.

   Continue pairing all of the remaining cookies and serve.
