8 c. water
1/2 lb. salt pork
3 onions, quartered
16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
1/4 tsp. sage
1 tsp. parsley
2 bouillon cubes
1 bay leaf
1 large garlic
3 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. thyme

Soak beans in water overnight.

Keep 3 cups liquid.

Rinse pork, dry and cut into 1-inch strips. Brown in oil until crispy.
