I shift the idea of Japanese Tonkatsu Pork into a burger sandwich, the result is really good!
-
3
First, season the pork, usually per serving is 1 to 2 slices of pork, seasoned with a pinch of salt, ground black pepper and onion powder.
-
4
Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
-
5
If you have more time, its better if you season it and let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
-
6
Prepare 1 beaten egg in one bowl.
-
7
Some plain flour in another bowl and some white breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
-
8
There are 3 steps you have to follow in order to make your deep-fried pork if you follow these steps it will out really crunchy and golden brown.
-
9
First, you need to dip the pork with plain flour, cover both sides, then dip into beaten egg, both sides and third, dip it in the breadcrumbs evenly.
-
10
Remember to preheat your frying pan over medium heat, with enough oil to cover the bottom.
-
11
Test with a drop of the breadcrumbs to check whether the oil is ready for deep-frying.
-
12
If youre afraid the heat will get too hot, turn to lower heat.
-
13
Either way, slowly fry the pork until golden brown.
-
14
When done, remove the pork from the hot oil onto a paper towel lined plate, so the grease can drain.
-
15
Divide the burger bun into half, top with lettuce, a tomato slice, cucumber slices and onion rings, then top with the deep-fried pork, finally drizzle with tonkatsu sauce, mayo, bonito flakes and seaweed powder.
