Squash Pie

   Bake squash in covered baking dish about 30 minutes at 375u00b0 (Pam your dish).

   Press through sieve into medium bowl (makes about 2 1/2 cups).

   Combine butter, 2 tablespoons syrup and nuts in a pie plate and bake about 10 minutes, stirring to coat at 375u00b0.

   Cool.

   Prepare your favorite pastry in a 9-inch pie plate. Line pastry and weight with pastry weights or dry beans and bake at 375u00b0 for 10 minutes.

   Remove weights and brush with egg white and bake another 8 minutes, until golden brown.

   Reduce oven to 350u00b0.
