Cut zucchini in half lengthwise and cut into slices 1/2-inch thick.

In large frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil and 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium-high heat.

Add half the zucchini and brown on both sides.

Add remaining oil and butter and saute rest of zucchini.

Remove with a slotted spoon. Dissolve 2 teaspoons salt in the vinegar.

Remove hot pan from heat and add vinegar, stirring up any browned bits.

Return zucchini to pan with raisins and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
