Raisin Loaf Cake

   Place raisins, water, sugar, salt, spices and butter in saucepan.

   Bring to a boil.

   Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Let cool to lukewarm.

   Stir in baking soda.

   Stir until foaming sets.

   Stir in sifted flour and turn into a well-greased loaf pan. Bake in heated oven at 350u00b0 for approximately 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean.

   Cool.

   Stores good wrapped in foil until needed.

   Refrigerate.
