   Add oil to pan and heat,add your seasoning to the chicken,place it in the oil and allow to cook for ten minutes constantly turning.it should brown evenly on all sides.heat your oven while preparing your meat.place chicken in a baking dish or the pan you cooked it in,add broth ,onions ,peppers,cover with heavy foil and bake for 30 minutes or longer depending on the size.when done add bbq sauce to your liking.i always cook my chicken 10 to 15 minutes longer with the sauce,even though I prepare it on top of the stove.
