Preheat oven to 400u00b0. Sift your flour, baking powder, salt & pepper into a large bowl.

Using your fingertips work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gently mix in the chives, prosciutto, parmesan & pears until well blended.

Make a well in the center of flour mix and gently mix in the milk. Mix only until you can form a sticky messy ball.

On a floured surface, pat down the dough and form into a large circle (unless you want smaller scones- you can divide dough). Cut into pie slices and place on parchment lined sheet. *Dough will be pretty sticky-just add more flour if need be.

Bake for 10-12 or 15-20 for larger scones!
