¾ cup peanut butter
½ cup butter or ½ cup margarine
½ cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups honeycomb cereal, Sweetened Corn & Oat Cereal (crushed to 1 cup)
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
36 pieces honeycomb cereal (whole pieces)

Preheat oven to 350' F.

Beat peanut butter, margarine/butter and sugars until smooth.

Add egg and vanilla, mix well.

Combine crushed cereal, flour, baking soda and salt.

Add to peanut butter mixture, mix well.

Shape rounded tablespoons of dough into ball.

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets, flatton slightly.

Press one piece cereal in center of each cookie.

Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown.

Let stand 1 minute-before removing to racks to cool.
