Cut tortillas into wedges. Fry in hot oil until crisp. Drain on paper towels and salt to taste. Remove casing from sausage and crumble into skillet. Saute sausage, ground beef and onion until meat is well cooked.

Pour off grease and add salt to taste. On a 10- x 15-inch baking dish or large ovenproof platter, spread refried beans and top evenly with meat mixture. Cover with chiles. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Drizzle taco sauce over cheese. (This may be covered and refrigerated at this point for later use.) Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot.
