-
1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
2
Prepare ingredients.
-
3
Do not shred the cheese.
-
4
Be sure to cube it so you have melted cheesy bites.
-
5
It is key to the flavor of the loaf (still hate that word).
-
6
Mix beef, cheese, crumbs, eggs, onion and Worcestershire together in a large bowl, leaving out the milk at this stage.
-
7
I use my hands to mix this; I feel it is the only way to know if it is all properly mixed without overdoing it.
-
8
At this stage, it will be dry and crumbly.
-
9
Add milk a little at a time until the meat comes together and is moist and easily able to stay in a loaf form (theres that word again!
-
10
).
-
11
Form the loaf (heehee) and place in a greased baking dish.
-
12
Set aside.
-
13
Time for the sauce.
-
14
Mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar in a small bowl.
-
15
Pour over the meatloaf and spread evenly with a spoon/spatula.
-
16
(I double the sauce because it is my favorite part!)
-
17
Bake at 350F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on your oven (mine takes about 1 1/4 hours).
-
18
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
-
19
(Dont cut it open to check inside!
-
20
If you cut it open, youll see oozing cheese, and although it will look yummy, if you need more time in the oven, all that cheese will end up a burned mess in the bottom of your pan!)

ENJOY!
