6 c. water
2 large cans whole tomatoes
1/2 c. celery
2 c. carrots
4 medium potatoes, cubed
1 large onion, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. black pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
2 eggs
1/2 c. bread crumbs
2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
2 cans cut green beans, strained
1 can whole kernel corn, strained

Put first 9 ingredients in large pot and put on stove to simmer.

While pot is simmering, prepare the following:

Mix together ground beef and pork, eggs, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Roll into small 1-inch meatballs; add to boiling pot on stove. Simmer 30 minutes, then add green beans and corn.

Simmer another 10 minutes.
