1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 basil leaf
1 1/2 quart. water
4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 c. rice
1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Cook grnd beef and onions in a large pan; brown meat slightly.

Add in potatoes, carrots, celery, cabbage, tomatoes; add in water and bring to a boil.
