Microwave Play Dough

   Mix together water and salt in a 2-quart measuring cup.

   Bring to a boil in the microwave.

   Stir every 2 minutes until salt is dissolved.

   Remove from microwave; add food coloring and salad oil. In a large microwave bowl, mix 2 cups flour and alum.

   Add salt-water liquid; mix well.

   Add more flour, if needed, to make a ball.

   Knead dough for a couple of minutes.

   Cook play dough for 2 minutes in the microwave.

   Knead dough.

    Repeat, if necessary, cooking dough for 1 to 2 minutes while kneading dough until desired texture.

    Cool completely and then store in airtight container.
