Ingredients: 1 lb. hamburger; 2 Tbsp. grated green pepper; 1 1/2 tsp. mustard; 1 tsp. salt; 2 Tbsp. grated onion; 1/4 c. cornmeal; 1 tsp. chili powder; 1/2 c. milk; 1 well beaten egg; 1/4 c. flour; 2 to 4 Tbsp. fat; 4 sliced carrots; 4 cubed potatoes; 1 large can tomato juice

Servings: persons

1 lb. hamburger
2 Tbsp. grated green pepper
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. grated onion
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. milk
1 well beaten egg
1/4 c. flour
2 to 4 Tbsp. fat
4 sliced carrots
4 cubed potatoes
1 large can tomato juice

Thoroughly mix first 9 ingredients.

Roll into 1 to 2 inch balls.

Roll the balls in flour and brown, using the fat.

Remove the meatballs from browning pan and use the remaining flour, fat in pan and tomato juice to make tomato gravy.

Place the cut vegetables in a heavy roasting pan.

Put the meatballs on top of the vegetables.

Pour the gravy over the meatballs.

Roast in a 325u00b0 oven for approximately 2 hours.
