Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Mix together all of the ingredients for the biscuits. You can either divide the dough evenly into a lightly-oiled 12-tin muffin pan or drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly-oiled cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

While the biscuits bake, melt the 1/4 cup of butter and add the rest of the dry ingredients.

When tops are a spotted golden brown, remove the biscuits from the oven. Stir the butter mix rapidly and spoon about 1 tsp. on top of each biscuit. Make sure you stir the butter before topping each one so you get a good mix of the butter and seasonings on each.

Let the biscuits sit for a minute or so, to allow the butter on the bottom to get soaked up. YUM!
