Lively Lentils – a delicious recipe with lentils, water, vegetable oil, vidalia onion, garlic, green pepper. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

1 12 cups dried lentils
4 cups water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 vidalia onion, chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
12 green pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon chili powder
12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
12 teaspoon cumin
12 cup raisins
1 tablespoon molasses
23 cup tomato paste

Bring lentils to a boil in the water and simmer 25 minutes.

In a skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil until soft.

Add to lentils, along with all other ingredients.

Simmer an additional 20 minutes until lentils are cooked, but not mushy.
