¾ cup honey
¾ cup unsulphured molasses
¼ cup margarine
1 large egg
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
¾ teaspoon ground cardamom
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground aniseed

Combine honey, molasses and margarine in a large pan and warm together over low heat.

Allow to cool and add in one egg (slightly beaten).

Take 1/4 of the dough at a time and roll into 3/4 inch wide logrolls and cut into small cylinders, then roll these pieces into 3/4 inch balls.
