Lentils And Sausage

   1.) Wash and pick over the lentils, then place them into a 4 quart baking dish and add the boiling water, salt, and garlic.

   2.) Cover the dish and place in a 350 degree over to start baking.

   3.) Cut the sausage into chunks and brown in a frying pan. Remove.

   4.) Saute the onions and carrots in the drippings and then add both the sausage and the onions and carrots to the lentils.

   5.) When lentils have baked for 45 minutes, add the tomato sauce and vinegar. Return to the over and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
