January Crockpot Turkey Chili

   Peel, then cut the onion in half.

   Chop half of the onion and put it in a large pan with the olive oil over medium heat.

   Add ground turkey, salt and pepper.

   Brown the turkey with the onion.

   Once the turkey is fully browned and onion is soft, add the mixture into a large slow cooker/crockpot.

   Chop the other half of the onion and add it into the crockpot with the ground turkey.

   Drain and rinse both cans of beans in a colander and then add the beans into the slow cooker.

    Add the crushed tomatoes, tomatoes with green chiles, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, maple syrup and red wine vinegar.

    Stir to combine and put the lid on.

    Set the slow cooker/crockpot to cook for 3 hours on high (or 6 hours on low).
