2 medium onions thinly sliced
2 pounds tomatoes, canned whole
7 ounces green chili peppers, canned whole, cut into strips
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
8 large eggs
3 ounces monterey jack cheese cut into 8 slices
