Easy Pizza Pockets (a.k.a. Calzones)

   Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (215 degrees C).

   Divide pizza dough into 4 pieces.

   Roll out each piece of the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.

   Shape the pizza dough by rolling into a rectangle.

   Transfer the dough pieces to a parchment lined or lightly greased cookie sheet.

   Spoon about a tablespoon or so of pizza sauce in a stripe down the center of each piece of dough, running lengthwise.

   Add a dash of Italian seasoning and garlic salt on top of pizza sauce.

   Add to each piece of pizza dough 1-2 tablespoons of cooked meat (chopped pepperoni, cooked sausage), cooked vegetables, and/or shredded cheese (like mozzarella, Parmesan or other shredded cheese).

   Fold pizza dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

    Make 2-3 diagonal cuts 1 1/2 inches apart down the top of the dough, cutting within a 1/2 inch of the filling.

    Brush tops with melted butter.

    Bake at 425 degrees F (215 degrees C) for 25-35 minutes (depending on the size of your pizza pocket).
