2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. Crisco
4 egg yolks
2 c. walnuts
1 lb. raisins
1 large container candied fruit mix
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
