Coconut Pecan Bread Mix In A Gift Jar

   Place first 3 ingredients into a medium bowl.

   Blend with a whisk.

   Place mixture into a zipper sandwich bag.

   Place mix into a wide mouth pint size canning jar.

   (Use a new jar - not one that has ever been canned in or cooked in before.)

   Place applesauce in jar next.

   Screw lid onto jar.

   Decorate jar and attach a recipe card with the following instructions.

   Coconut Pecan Bread To Bake In A Jar

    Remove contents of jar.

    Empty mix into a medium bowl.

    Add 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of oil and applesauce.

    Mix well.

    Spray inside of jar with cooking spray.

    Place batter into jar.

    DO NOT PLACE LID ON JAR.

    Bake at 325F for 45 minutes.

    (To bake, place jar in a small shallow baking dish to keep it balanced in the oven.)

    Use hot pads to remove from oven.

    Let bread cool for 10 minutes.

    Run a knife around the inside of the jar to loosen bread.

    Slide bread out of jar and slice to serve.
