¾ cup soft butter

1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed
⅔ cup finely chopped peanuts
2 (3 3/4 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups cold milk
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed
