Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups sugar; 2 tablespoons shortening; 2 eggs; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 2 teaspoons baking soda; 2 (14 ounce) cans pie cherries, drained; 2 cups flour; 1 cup nuts, chopped; Sauce; cherry juice; 3/4 cup sugar; 6 tablespoons flour; 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and baking soda.

Add cherries, nuts and flour; mix well.

Put in greased and floured 13x9-inch glass dish.

Bake at 375u00b0F for 30 minutes.

Blend together sauce ingredients.

Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat.
