Cheese Pinwheels with Mayhaw Jelly

   Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl.

   Add the grated cheese and mix thoroughly.

   Add softened butter, salt, paprika and cayenne pepper.

   Mix until all ingredients are incorporated and form a dough.

   Divide dough into two balls and wrap each in plastic wrap.

   Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

   Remove from refrigerator and roll each into a square or rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick.

   Spread thinly with Mayhaw jelly.

   Sprinkle with nuts.

    Roll each into a log and wrap in plastic wrap.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    Slice about 1/4 inch thick.

    Bake for approximately 15 minutes.

    Remove to a cooling rack.
