Ingredients: 1 lb. dry Black Beans; 2 tbl. Bacon Grease; 1 Onion, chopped; 2 slices Bacon, minced (optional).; 6 cups Water; 4 Beef Bullion cubes; 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder; 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper; 1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper; 1 tbl. Sugar

1 lb. dry Black Beans
2 tbl. Bacon Grease
1 Onion, chopped
2 slices Bacon, minced (optional).
6 cups Water
4 Beef Bullion cubes
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tbl. Sugar

Place dry beans in large bowl, add Boiling water to cover.

Let stand about 1/2 hr.

Drain, rinse, drain again.

Add bacon grease to large pot on med.

Add onion and saute for 2 mins.

Add drained beans and saute for 5 mins.

Bring to boil on high heat.

Cover, reduce heat to simmer and cook about 90 mins.
