1
Preheat oven to the temperature indicated on the package of biscuits.
-
2
Brown and crumble the ground beef in a skillet until completely cooked.
-
3
Drain off fat if necessary.
-
4
Season the cooked ground beef with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
-
5
Remove from heat and stir in the BBQ sauce.
-
6
Open the package of biscuits and flatten each biscuit out.
-
7
Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
-
8
Press each biscuit into a muffin pan, making biscuit cups.
-
9
Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the ground beef into each biscuit cup.
-
10
(If you use Pillsbury brand biscuits, there will be eight biscuit cups, and four empty spots in your muffin pan.
-
11
I put a little bit of water in each of the empty spots to prevent the pan from scorching.)
-
12
Put the filled muffin pan in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are cooked and golden brown on the sides.
-
13
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of each biscuit.
-
14
Put the muffin pan back in the oven for another 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
-
15
Serve immediately.

I have made variations of these depending upon my mood, but the kids and my hubby still like the BBQ version best.
-
17
Some the variations I have tried are to add diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese to the ground beef instead of the BBQ sauce for an Italian version (I really like this one!
-
18
), or add taco seasoning and olives to the ground beef instead of the BBQ sauce for a Mexican version.
-
19
Use your imagination.

I dont think you can go wrong with these popems!
