In another larger mixing bowl, beat bananas and brown sugar. Add in egg, butter and vanilla. Mix until combined well. Add the dry ingredients slowly and beat until combined.

Pour batter into the prepared muffin pan, filling each well about 3/4 full.

Prepare topping by putting the dry ingredients into a medium bowl. Then cut the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the batter.
