Baked Cherry Custards

   Preheat oven to 180C.

   Divide chopped cake between 4 x 1 cup ovenproof ramekins.

   Top each with a heaped tablespoon of jam.

   Place milk in pot over low heat and heat till warm, about 5 minutes.

   Whisk eggs and sugar in a jug and gradually whisk in heated milk.

   Pour milk into ramekins and place these in a baking dish.

   Pour boiling water into baking dish, halway up sides of ramekins.

   Bake for 30 minutes till golden and set.

   Remove dish from oven and remove desserts from baking dish very carefully.

    cool 10 minutes and serve.
