Baked Apples With Currants(Elegant With Roast Pork)

   Slice a piece from the bottom of each apple, so it will sit firmly in the baking dish.

   Core each apple, being careful not to pierce through the bottom.

   Make a well in center of each apple (where you've removed core) large enough to hold a generous amount of the filling.

   Mix filling ingredients together, except cinnamon. Place apples in a buttered baking dish.

   Stuff each apple with filling.

   Place a cinnamon stick in center of each.

   Bake apples in a 300u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until they are soft, yet still retain their shape.
