Ingredients: 1 lb lean grnd pork; 3/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats; 1/2 tsp grnd sage; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp pepper; 1/4 tsp dry thyme -- crushed; 1/3 c. applesauce; 1 x egg -- slightly beaten; 1/4 c. chopped green onion; 4 slc bacon; 1 lrg tart green apple -- cored and cut in thin wedges; 1/2 med onion -- cut in small wedges; 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

1 lb lean grnd pork
3/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 tsp grnd sage
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dry thyme -- crushed
1/3 c. applesauce
1 x egg -- slightly beaten
1/4 c. chopped green onion
4 slc bacon
1 lrg tart green apple -- cored and cut in thin wedges
1/2 med onion -- cut in small wedges
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

In a large bowl combine oats, sage, salt, pepper, and thyme.

Stir in applesauce, egg and green onion; mix well.

Form into 4 patties about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.

Wrap a bacon strip around each patty; secure with a toothpick.

Grill or possibly broil 4-5 min on each side.

Meanwhile in a small skillet, cook and stir apples and onions in warm oil till tender.
