Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over low heat.

Remove from heat. Add half of the white chocolate.

Using an electric mixer, beat eggs with the salt until frothy.

Gradually add the sugar and beat to a pale yellow and a slowly dissolving ribbon forms from the beater.
