1 (3-oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
Fresh strawberries
Whipped cream

Combine strawberries and gelatin and set aside. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
