1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. thyme

Wash beans; cover with cold water overnight.

Bring to boil and cook 1 hour.

Drain and discard water.

Brown meat in hot fat in Dutch oven or roaster.
