Tabasco sauce, chipotles; 1-1/2 tbsp. liquid smoke; 1 tsp. onion powder; 1 tsp. garlic powder; 1/2 tsp. chili powder; 1-1/4 tsp. smoked paprika (may use regular paprika is smoked cannot be found); 1/2 tsp. dried mustard; 1 tbsp. cornstarch; 1 tbsp. water

1/4 cup molasses

1-1/2 tbsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1-1/4 tsp. smoked paprika (may use regular paprika is smoked cannot be found)
1/2 tsp. dried mustard
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. water

In a medium saucepan, over medium-low heat, mix together brown sugar, molasses, honey and maple syrup.

Cook until bubbly and very sticky.

Stir in soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar and liquid smoke.

This will cause the sauce to bubble up (be careful!).

Stir in dried spices, and bring to a rapid simmer.

Combine cornstarch and water into a slurry, and quickly stir into sauce.

Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours.
