Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg ( if apples are really juicy you may want to increase flour to 4 tablespoons.

If you still have the apple slices as rings cut them into quarters so that you have smaller pieces of apple.

Add sugar mixture to the apples and toss to coat.

Prepare the pie crust according to the box, making sure that you flour the bottom crust so that it won't stick to the pie pan.

Fill the pastry lined 9-inch pie plate with the apple mixture.

Put the top crust over the apple mixture.
