Sugar-Flour Paste

   Mix dry ingredients.

   Slowly stir in 1 cup of cold water. Bring remaining 3 cups to a boil and add dry mixture to it, stirring constantly.

   Continue to cook in double boiler for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly.

   Remove from heat and add oil of cloves.

   Keep moist by adding a small piece of wet sponge to the top of each jar.
