Place lamb chops in a shallow dish. Whisk together wine, barbecue sauce, mustard and hot pepper sauce. Pour over lamb chops, turning to coat. Chill for at least 30 mins, covered, then drain and reserve marinade.

Preheat grill or broiler to high. Cook lamb chops for 3-5 mins per side, or until cooked to your liking. Set aside to rest, loosely covered in foil.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan over high heat. Saute onions for 2-3 mins, until tender. Add mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 mins, until tender. Set aside and keep warm.
