Heat oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Saute onion, garlic and spices 3-4 mins, until tender and fragrant. Add carrot and cook 3-4 mins. Set aside to cool.

Combine ground lamb, sausage, breadcrumbs, tomato paste, parsley and onion mixture in a large bowl. Season to taste and mix well.

Halve pastry sheets lengthwise. Spoon or pipe lamb mixture lengthwise along each pastry strip. Roll up to enclose filling. Cut each roll into 3 equal pieces. Place rolls, seam side down, on prepared pans. Brush with egg and sprinkle with seeds.
