Ingredients: 1 onion, finely chopped; 4 cloves garlic, chopped finely; 1 Tbsp. olive oil; 1 can whole tomatoes, chopped finely; 1 Tbsp. thyme; 2 Tbsp. oregano; 3 Tbsp. basil; 1 can tomato paste; 1 Tbsp. sugar; 4 bay leaves; 2 lb. hamburger; 1 Tbsp. beef bouillon crystals; 1/2 c. water; 1 can tomato sauce

Servings: persons

1 onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped finely
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 can whole tomatoes, chopped finely
1 Tbsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. oregano
3 Tbsp. basil
1 can tomato paste
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 bay leaves
2 lb. hamburger
1 Tbsp. beef bouillon crystals
1/2 c. water
1 can tomato sauce

Finely chop onion, garlic and whole tomatoes.

Heat stock pot on stove.

When pot is hot, add the olive oil; saute onion and garlic until onion is transparent.

Add thyme, oregano, basil and bouillon.

Saute for about 2 minutes.

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and chopped whole tomatoes, along with the sugar and bay leaves.

Brown hamburger; drain off excess grease.

Add to sauce. Add water.

Let simmer for at least 2 hours.

Serve over spaghetti.
