1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. flour
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream together the sugar, shortening, eggs, salt, lemon and vanilla.

Beat together in a separate bowl the sour cream, soda and 1/2 cup flour.

Add to the creamed mixture.

Add remaining 3 cups flour and baking powder.

Roll 1/2-inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.

Put on cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar.
