Soft Sugar Cookies

   Cream margarine, sugar, vanilla and almond flavoring.

   Beat in egg.

   Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.

   Chill at least 1 hour.

   Divide into thirds, roll and cut in shapes.

   Bake on ungreased cookie sheet on upper oven rack at 350u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes or until very lightly browned on bottom of cookies.

   Let set on cookie sheet a few minutes before removing.

   Do not overbake.

   Frost when cool.
