1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 carrots
3 potatoes
1/2 green pepper
1 medium onion
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, parsley, eggs, 1/2 can tomato sauce, salt and pepper.

Form into 2 oval loaves, about 3 x 5-inches.

Brown on all sides in oil by turning loaves with large spoon and spatula or 2 spatulas.

When loaves are browned, add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 1 hour, basting occasionally.
