Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Remove the core of the apples with a sharp knife or apple corer and then peel the tops of the apples.

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, raisins, ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg. Stir to combine.

Place the apples in a small baking dish and fill the centers with the raisin mixture.

Pour 1/4 cup of water into the small baking dish so that it surrounds the apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the apples become tender and baste them occassionally with the juices at the bottom of the baking dish so the tops don't dry out.

Serve with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream in the center of the apple! Garnish with cinnamon sticks. Enjoy!
