-
1
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the can of biscuits.
-
2
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
-
3
Add onions and saute them in the olive oil until softened.
-
4
Add garlic and saute about a minute longer.
-
5
Stir in the Italian seasoning and lemon juice.
-
6
Throw in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
-
7
Add salt and pepper to taste.
-
8
Take two biscuits and squish them together and try to form a ball.
-
9
Set the ball of dough on a lightly floured surface.
-
10
Use your rolling pin to roll it out into a flat circle.
-
11
Try to get it pretty thin.
-
12
You may need to flour your rolling pin or the top of the dough a little so it doesnt stick.
-
13
I started by making 3 of these, and if there is filling left over you can make a fourth.
-
14
Lay about 2-3 tablespoons of the spinach mixture on one side of the circle of dough leaving a little space on the edges.
-
15
Top the spinach on each one with cheese.
-
16
Fold the dough over the filling (making a 1/2 moon shape) and line up the edges.
-
17
Use the tip of a fork and press down around the open edge to seal.
-
18
Brush the tops with beaten egg.
-
19
Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are a golden brown.
-
20
If they are not browning well, do as I did and pop them under the broiler for about a minute at the end of the bake time.
-
21
Serve heated marinara sauce on the side for dipping!
-

Note: You may have biscuits left over from the tube so use them for breakfast in the morning with jelly!
